Renewal Narrative, Sydney Opera House

Earlier this year I was commissioned to design an aspect of SOH’s Renewal communications across five screens running in continuous loops in the Vehicle Concourse area (the underside of the Grand Staircase).

Initially I also designed a faceted 3D frame for the screens but unfortunately time narrowed that down to perspex annotations, which accompany the screens (in three languages).

This is the third video installation I’ve completed on site and is an accessible way to comprehend the scope of change occurring at the House for the next few years.

Here are some images from the work, which ran from April to December, 2017, including the previsualisation of the faceted frame, examples of the graphic design and the finished screens in situ.
